Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam is a 816.9-hectare area of parkland developed on part of the Bukit Cherakah Permanent Forest Reserve. It has several attractions, including a zoo, hiking trails and a paintball field, but its wealth of both rainforest and wetland habitat attracts numerous bird species. This site is very accessible, being located in Shah Alam and only a 30-45 minute drive from Kuala Lumpur. Fees are charged for parking (RM5 for cars) and entrance (RM3 for adults and RM1 for senior citizens. The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 7:30AM-4:30PM.
We first made our way past the paddy fields and towards the fishing lake, before stopping by Kampung Idaman. We then walked past the zoo and around the pond towards the Lorong Sabar photo spot.
